BOMAG BW Series Cab Mounts
BOMAG BW series road and soil compactors use a dedicated cab mount system engineered for the high-amplitude vibratory environment of compaction operations. The cab mounts isolate the operator cab from drum vibration frequencies of 30–67 Hz, protecting the operator from whole-body vibration exposure that can cause long-term health effects.
The primary BOMAG cab mount series is the 3128 0458 series, available in three Shore A hardness grades:
- 3128 0458 15 — 15 Shore A (Soft) — Maximum vibration isolation, recommended for asphalt compaction
- 3128 0458 18 — 18 Shore A (Medium) — Factory standard, balanced isolation and stability
- 3128 0458 24 — 24 Shore A (Firm) — Stability priority, slope or rough terrain operation
Choosing the Right Shore Hardness: If your BOMAG operator reports excessive vibration, try the softer 15 Shore A variant. If the cab moves excessively under normal operation, upgrade to 18 or 24 Shore A. The 18 Shore A is the factory default for most BW series models.
BOMAG 3115 Series Cab Mount Buffers
The 3115 1822 00 and 3115 1822 01 cab mount rubber buffers serve specific BOMAG BW series configurations. These buffer-type mounts differ in geometry from the 3128 0458 point mounts and are used at specific locations in the BOMAG cab mounting frame.
The complete BOMAG cab mount assembly 3128259405 is available as a ready-to-install unit for customers who prefer simplified procurement. The larger-format suspension element 3128 3175 50 is used on BW 200 and 300 class machines with higher cab load requirements.
